William Richard Stephens Jr. was born on Dec. 1,1986 to Lorre Harris and the late William Stephens Sr. in Dallas, OR. He passed away on Aug. 9, 2024. He attended Pittsburg schools until his fourth grade year when he moved to Cabot, AR where he graduated in 2005. In 2020 he attended Tumi and did a launch of it in 2023 inside of the Lansing Correctional facility.
In William’s short life, he touched the lives of many with his contagious smile, caring personality and love for Jesus. He was a part of two Lansing prison church plants and two other church plants in Lenexa and Kansas City, Will stayed active in ministry for the KC Metro area and Brothers in Blue Reentry program as well as serving on the 1st Judicial District Juvenile corrections advisory board.
He is loved and dearly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father William Stephens Sr; Stepfather John Beasley; Grandparents Kenneth Stephens, Colvin and Mary Cutshall and Glenn Harris; Aunt Tara Harris as well as several aunts and uncles on his father’s side.
He is survived by his wife Corinne Stephens of Leavenworth, Ks; Children Hunter (Lilly) Row of Joplin Mo; Hope, Hayden, and Holden Stephens of Leavenworth, Ks; Grandson Arlo Megill all of Leavenworth, Ks; Mother Lorre Beasley; Grandmother Lois Harris; Brother Kenneth (Tabatha) Stephens all of Frontenac, KS; Kristopher (Cheryl) Stephens of Kansas City, Ks; Aunt Judy Sherrell of Oregon; Uncles Eric Harris of Florida and Scott (Pam) Harris of Arkansas along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and assorted family members.
There will be a celebration of life at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday Aug. 24, 2024, at Wallula Christian Church located at 23785 S 139th St. Leavenworth, KS.
In lieu of flowers, a Venmo account has been set up at Corinne-Stephens-7 for the expenses Corinne will endure as a result from the unexpected loss and as he continues raising their minor children.
