Mathew Jay Pence, 20, of Pittsburg, passed away at 4:37 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at his home.
He was born January 3, 2004, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Mathew loved going to school, listening to music, and horseback riding.
Survivors include his parents, grandparents, and siblings.
A funeral service for Mathew will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2024, at Brenner Mortuary with Pastor Jim Sukraw officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Brenner Mortuary. A private family burial will be held in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for memorials to be given to Horses of Hope. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762.
