Wayne F. Windsor

Wayne F. Windsor, 69, of Pittsburg, passed away at 11:20 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, at his house unexpectedly.

He was born April 14, 1953, in Pittsburg, the son of Howard F. and Carolyn (Herbinger) Windsor. He attended Cherokee schools and graduated from Southeast High School in 1971.

On June 20, 1975, he was united in marriage to Pam Wilson in Pittsburg. She survives at the family home.

Mr. Windsor was the owner/operator of Tanks-R-Us installing septic tanks and storm shelters.

Wayne loved working. When he was not working, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids, just being "Papa"!

In addition to his wife, Pam, he is survived by three sons: Curtis Windsor and his wife, Christie of Girard, Kansas, Chris Windsor and his wife, Alishia of Pittsburg, and Cyle Windsor of Pittsburg; two brothers, Murvel Windsor of Pittsburg and his twin, Dwayne Windsor and his wife, Loreta of Pittsburg; a sister, Connie C. Kratz of Chicopee; and eight grandchildren, Landon, Hayden, Cash, Chase, Cayne, Chance, Lincoln, and Lynzi.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Howard "Manuel" Windsor and Ron C. Windsor.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, at the Brenner Mortuary, with Pastor Jamie Tickel officiating. Burial will follow at the Windsor residence. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Brenner Mortuary, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday. The family suggests memorials be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. These may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762.
