PITTSBURG, Kan. — Kansas Crossing Casino is inviting the public to enjoy multiple shows on them. Throughout the rest of August, the casino will host several free concerts featuring regional country artists.

The first show will tomorrow, as Dallas and Janell hit the casino floor live at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11. Based out of Kansas City, Dallas and Janell are an acoustic duo who play a wide variety of favorite country hits from artists like Lady A, Little Big Town, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, Garth Brooks, and many more.

Next Friday, Aug. 18, Zane Grimes will also be performing a free set on the casino floor. Grimes is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Joplin, who has been writing music his whole life and was always pushed to take the stage from a young age.

“My uncle Shawn Smith (Big Smitty Band) always was an inspiration to me to follow in the footsteps of my family members and do the thing we love most,” said Grimes. “I play all types of music — classic rock, red dirt, blues, country and everything else you could think of. My biggest joy is bringing people together with live music.”

On Saturday, Aug. 19, Kevin Upshaw & One Night Stand will return to Kansas Crossing to perform at 8 p.m. Upshaw and his band have been playing shows in the area for roughly a decade.

The final free show scheduled for August will feature frequent Kansas Crossing guest Jerry Pringle. A solo artist from Oklahoma, Pringle has played guitar, bass, and provided vocals for various bands in the Tulsa area for years. He has entertained at premier venues such as Tulsa Hard Rock, Tulsa River Spirit, and The Osage Million Dollar Elm. Pringle has compiled all of his musical experience into an evening of entertainment, playing an eclectic mix of songs.
