Tyler Watson


Tyler Lee Watson, born on January 24, 1999, in Pittsburg, Kansas, passed away on May 29, 2024, in his hometown.

He was the beloved son of Travis and Kristy Watson. Tyler is survived by his brother, Reece, who meant the world to him.

Tyler graduated from Pittsburg High School in 2017 and furthered his education and skills at a local technical college, graduating in the field of welding. He found joy in his work at Unique Metals in Pittsburg, KS, where he could pursue his passion for welding.

Described as a caring young man, family always held a special place in Tyler's heart. His bond with his brother, Reece, was unbreakable, and they shared a deep friendship that brought them both immense happiness. Tyler cherished moments spent at home, whether it was playing cards, board games, or simply enjoying each other's company. He also loved fishing, hunting, and playing pool with his father, Travis.

One of Tyler's greatest joys in life was his loyal companion, Butch, a lovable lab mix who was more than a pet – he went with Tyler everywhere. Tyler's presence was like glue that held his family together, and his absence has left a profound void that words cannot adequately describe.

Tyler was preceded in death by his grandmother, Debbie Price, and grandfather, Ed Meiers.

He is survived by his parents, Travis and Kristy; his brother, Reece; his grandfather and grandmother, Lee and Anna Price; grandmother, Carla Watson-Meiers; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Tyler Lee Watson touched the lives of many with his kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for his family. His passing has left a deep sadness in the hearts of all who knew him,

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, (June 5th) at the Brenner Mortuary with Chaplain Pete Mayo officiating. Burial will follow in the Girard Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Brenner Mortuary. Online condolences may be left at www.brennermortuary.com.
