Cathy Lynn (Turner) Norris gained her angel wings on Sept. 11, 2024, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Cathy’s mother, Joyce Turner, her daughter, Carlee and Nathan Mahnken with children Kennedy, Maisey, Kodi and Kylee, her son, Phillip and Jessica Norris and children Lilah and Liam will continue to live out her memory. Cathy was proceeded in death by her son Carl Jay and her father, Carl Turner.
Cathy was courageous, funny, full of spunk, loved gardening, hummingbirds, parrots, and all things Jimmy Buffett. But above all she loved her children and her grand babies immensely. Cathy loved all who came into her life. She was selfless and compassionate, especially for those who may be considered the underdog. She worked at Crawford County Mental Health, supporting children and families for 24 years. She taught many lessons in her short life. She was not one to judge. She accepted anyone who accepted her. She had many, many friends. And she simply lived each day to make someone else’s day brighter, even if it was with a bit of humor or a smile.
Cathy was a very spiritual person. She believed God was using her as a vessel to move others towards him. Her journey, while tough this last year, demonstrated just how close her relationship to God was, how strong her faith was, and that miracles really do happen. Cathy’s legacy, impact, and the change she influenced in the lives of others will continue to live on.
