PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Pittsburg Arts Council (PAC) will host its flagship event, the ArtWalk, on Friday, Sept. 29, from 5 to 9 p.m., in the heart of the Pittsburg Arts District.
Artists are encouraged to sign up for booth space. Applications are still open for artists, musicians and performers, organizations, Writer’s Block, a new Kidz Zone and poetry and fiction readings.
Downtown businesses are encouraged to join in on the fun as well. Thousands of attendees will be spending their evening roaming the confines of the ArtWalk boundaries and often visit any storefronts that are open. With that in mind, busineeses are urged to stay open late, or offer specials and discounts.
Business located outside of the three block event area can still participate by showcasing an artist, hosting live music, staying open for the evening, or by signing up as a vendor.
PAC also needs extra hands to help make this event a success. Anyone with an hour or so to spare is urged to help.
All applications can be found on their website: https://pittsburgartwalk.com/artwalk-applications
