Greg Buckle, 50, of Girard, died at 2:45 a.m., Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, in the Girard Medical Center in Girard.
Greg was born July 3, 1974, at Girard, a son of Joseph L. and Susan K. (Meister) Buckle. He grew up and attended schools in Girard and graduated from Girard High School in 1992.
He received his electrical degree from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg and his business degree from Western Governors University.
Greg worked in the retail flooring business for several years.
He enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing, and playing golf.
Greg was a member of the Sons of the American Legion at the George C. Brown Post No. 26, American Legion of Girard.
Survivors include his mother, Susan, of Girard, a brother, Jamie Buckle of Fayetteville, Arkansas, his sister, Jenni Frazier, and her husband, Justin, of Frontenac. His nephews, Brennon Frazier, Wyatt Frazier, and Grant Frazier. His nieces, Courtney Frazier and Divinika Buckle.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Buckle, and a brother, Joshua Buckle.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Sunday at the Girard Cemetery with Pastor Rick Prideaux officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:30 p.m., Sunday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard where friends may call after 11 a.m., Sunday.
Memorials are suggested to the Girard Medical Center Foundation, and these may be left at the service or the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, 518 W St. John, Box 258, Girard, 66743.
